Weather
Walking

Have children dramatize various weather conditions by walking
as if they were feeling each kind of weather. You can suggest
possible weather conditions such as windy, puddles after
rain, very cold, very hot, and walking in autumn leaves.
The class can weave a story around the weather, becoming
more involved when children can imagine the feeling of a
particular weather condition. Or children can act out a
daily weather report, starting with a sunrise and ending
with a sunset, or can pretend they are walking in various
substances or places (e.g., on eggs, around a sleeping tiger,
in a dark house).
