Obstacle Course

Materials: Ball, table to crawl under, something to jump over or on top of

Set up an obstacle course outside. You may want to have the children help. Include a place where they have to march a certain distance, climb over something, crawl under a table, jump over or onto an object, hop on one foot, turn around in a circle, bounce in a ball, touch their toes and reach up high, etc. Have all the children warm up stretching together. Then send one child at a time through the course. When the child is done, have them cool down, or go for another turn. While the children are waiting for their turn, they should always be marching in place or dancing. Put on some music to make it more fun.
